Obituary:Delores “Dee” Dotter, age 86, of Tomahawk passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at Golden Living Center-Golden Age in Tomahawk. Dee was born June 28, 1926, in Milwaukee to the late Charles and Catherine (Metz) Meyer. She grew up and attended school in the Milwaukee area. Dee was married to Fredric “Fritz” Dotter on June 11, 1955, in Tomahawk; he survives.
In her earlier years, Dee worked in the upholstery department at Hy-Ryder Boats in Tomahawk. She also cleaned at the Gilbert School. Dee enjoyed snowmobiling, working in her flower gardens and playing cards with her neighborhood card club. She loved Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh. She also enjoyed listening to the Milwaukee Brewers on the radio. Most of all, Dee loved spending time with and taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchild.
Survivors include her Husband, Fredric “Fritz” Dotter of Tomahawk,
3 Sons, Robert (B.D.) Dotter, Dave Dotter, and Gary (Cindy) Dotter, all of Tomahawk,
3 Daughters, Jean (Terry) Zoellner and Linda Dotter of Tomahawk, and Sue (Scott) Martinson of Muskego, WI,
1 Sister, Lorraine (Jim) Crass of Tomahawk, and 2 Sister-in-laws, Elaine Dotter and Roberta Meyer, both of Tomahawk.
Dee is further survived by 8 Grandchildren, Joe and Alicia Krutke, Nick and Katie Krutke, Derek Dotter, Zach Zoellner, Kevin and Kelly Martinson, and 1 Great Grandchild, Trinity Krutke.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, a Brother, Wilbert “Spike” Meyer, and her Sister, Ruth Irmischer.
Funeral Services for Delores “Dee” Dotter will take place on Friday, February 22, 2013, at 4:00 PM from Generations Funeral Home at 1400 North 4th Street in Tomahawk. Rev. John Anderson will officiate with interment to take place in the spring at Calvary Cemetery in Tomahawk. Dee’s family will receive friends for visitation at Generations Funeral Home from 2:00 PM until the time of services at 4 pm. Dee’s family would like to personally thank the staff of Golden Living Center-Golden Age for all of the wonderful care given to her. |
