Throughout the years, people have asked,…. Why do funerals cost so much? This is Kevin from Generations Funeral Home & Cremation Services. My answer to this question is:  Funerals cost so much because many funeral homes have  large overhead expenses.

With Generations we do not have a large overhead, because of that we are able to pass the savings back to the families we serve.  For over 20 years I have provided care and guidance to the people of our area in their time of need.

Over the next 20 years and beyond, my Sister, Karri and I will provide that same care and guidance. But know we can offer the affordability all of the hard working families of the northwoods deserve.  In addition, as a tribute to all the brave men and women that have served our country in the armed forces, we will automatically take 5 % off of the total bill for any veteran's funeral, cremation, or pre-plan service.

Transfer of Pre-Plan Trusts

If you currently have a funeral trust or prearrangements made at another funeral home and would like to transfer them to Generations Funeral Home & Cremation Services, we can assist you.

When transferring a trust the paperwork needs to be changed to reflect the new beneficiary funeral home without creating any interest penalties. Basically your signature is the only thing required from you. You do not have to call the old funeral home, we do all of the work for you.

According to Wisconsin Legislature: 445.125 Funeral Trusts are transferable from funeral home to funeral home. The transferring of the trust is an easy process. Funds that you have invested in a funeral trust are yours and you have the right to designate what funeral home you would like to utilize.
